Words Like Honey was inspired by Proverbs 16:24 which says, “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

Since becoming a mother, proclaiming the importance of life-giving, grace-filled words has never been more important to me. Sure, words are merely symbols people use to communicate, but they’re all we have to do so. What we say and write…words…they matter! Maybe that message is more pertinent now than ever.

As my area’s local beekeeper, I regularly share my appreciation of the bees with elementary and preschool-age groups, but even more than that, I love to share my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with women. Please, keep me in mind if I can ever be of assistance to your church group, book club, gardening or beekeeping association.

My first novel, The Bird and the Bees, is a Christian contemporary romance set to be released by Mantle Rock Publishing in April 2020. I also am a weekly interest columnist for the faith-based online news magazine, Kentucky Today, and my local newspaper, The Clarion. My writing has been featured in the Women’s Division of Baseball Chapel devotions, the Connecting Ministries blog, and more.

Go to my Contact page to see how to get in touch with me. Let’s become friends and proclaim more words like honey…specifically, the name of Jesus! And maybe we chat some about books, bees, or baseball along the way. Thanks!
